One of my favorite things to do with Broken Legacy is to world build. Rian and I have ideas for locations and settings but nothing is really ever set in stone until we actually create the world. So I start with a blank page, a couple of ideas and and just start drawing. It is lot of fun.

This little place will be where a large portion of Broken Legacy 2 takes place.

So I am back with Tuesdays with Tobias with a brand new logo.

Man-Gull 2 is in full swing so that means Rian is tied up making sure that it gets finished before SPX. I help him with page layout and lettering so it keeps me busy as well. We have the first 8 pages laid out but don’t want to start drawing them until we can focus all of our attention on it and make sure that they are as good as they can be.

So that leaves me with designs. There will be monster dogs, new villains, and elves! I have a lot of designing to do. So that is what I am leaving you with today. The elves are going to be a lot of fun to draw.

A late Tuesday with Tobias.  More just sketching and farting around.
Plug time. I previously bought Ray Frenden's photoshop brush set and inked most of Broken Legacy #1 with them. I cannot recommend his brushes enough. They are great! I then bought Kyle Webster's brush set pack 1. I liked them and they are some great brushes but I found that I liked Ray's brushes a bit more. Today I downloaded Kyle's second brush pack and HOLY CRAP! They are amazing. The inking brushes are phenomenal and the mixed media brushes are very natural looking and are a ton of fun to use. I cannot recommend them enough. You can not lose using either of these guys' brush sets. Check them out!
More Broken Legacy next week.

Tuesdays with Tobias continues!
I totally forgot about posting last week. Whoops. Wanted to make sure I didn’t miss today. Issue 2 picks up with the young Gabe and Tobias surviving on their own. Things have gotten tough. I really want to push my art with issue two. That means taking time and getting real familiar with the characters and settings. Even though I drew the characters as kids in issue one I never got real comfortable with them.

This is a really exciting time to be a part of Stock*Pile Comics. Forever Winter, Man-Gull, and Broken Legacy #1 have all been completed and released. Everyone seems to enjoy them. The second issues are being worked on now. Man-Gull and Forever Winter #2 should be finished by September. Broken Legacy #2 is in the works with the hopes of having it ready to be printed early 2014. The creativity is flying and honestly it is just fun to make comics with your friends.
Rian, prepping for Man-Gull #2, has begun his Man-Gull Monday posts here on the Stock*Pile tumblr. The next few months should be exciting getting to see the craziness that Rian cooks up.
It got me so jazzed that I didn’t want to be left out. So every Tuesday I will be posting something relating to Broken Legacy #2 as I work on it. The first 8 pages have been written. I’m going to go over it with a magnifying glass to make sure we get it as tight as possible. Then I get drawing!
You might be asking what does this wolf have to do with Broken Legacy. Well. I don’t want to spoil it but the first 8 pages has some wolf action. I want to fantasy-up the wolves a bit but first I need to get comfortable drawing them. So there you go. A little sneak peak into the sketchbook for Broken Legacy #2. You might also notice that the drawing is NOT digital. That is because I am going to draw Broken Legacy #2 on real actual paper. I plan on doing a lot of the work digitally but I want the final art to be physical. I think it will help the book look better. Plus it is cool to have actual artwork. I got to see pages of Forever Winter and Man-Gull and was jealous. So I am going old school.
See you in the sketch pages!
